Farewell to Christophe D’haene

Dear customers, business partners and friends,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague Christophe D’haene on 18 October, following a short but particularly intense illness.

As Export Manager, Christophe was for many of you a trusted point of contact, a valued business partner and a true friend. Through his expertise, language skills and natural flair, he represented Vande Moortel far beyond our national borders. Above all, however, he was someone who had a remarkable gift for bringing people together.

Christophe touched people not through grand words, but through who he was: sincere, warm, caring and always true to himself. His enthusiasm and positive attitude made him deeply appreciated both within and beyond our organisation.

We had the privilege of knowing Christophe for far too short a time, yet during that time he gave us so much. His friendship, his enthusiasm and his outlook on life will leave a lasting impression on all of us.

We cherish the many wonderful memories we shared with him. The values that Christophe stood for will continue to hold an important place within the Vande Moortel family. In this way, he will always remain part of who we are.

We realise that this news will touch many of you as well. On behalf of Christophe’s family and all our colleagues, we would like to sincerely thank you for the support, kind words and expressions of sympathy that you have already shared.

Yours sincerly,

The Vande Moortel family and all colleagues at Vande Moortel
